‘Across the Bay’ is inspired by Nepean Bay, Kangaroo Island. This painting uses my characteristic painting technique of progressive layering using glazes and opaque paint with removal of paint through wiping back and sanding. This creates a richly layered surface, evocative of a windswept day on the shores of the shallow Bay with its views across to Kingscote.
