What payment methods do you accept?
You can purchase in the gallery, online, over the phone, or via email.
We accept the following payment methods:
- Cash ($AUD only) In person in the gallery
- EFTPOS (Australia only)
- Credit Card (VISA, MASTERCARD)
- Direct transfers into our bank account.
Artworks cannot be released until funds are received into our bank account.
Delivery and pickup timeframes
There are some variations on dispatch time frames with each purchase, depending on stock levels, Art Courier schedules, framing requirements and exhibition dates.
Adelaide: Any artwork framed and ready to go: collect same day or arrange delivery for that week or following week (Adelaide only).
Interstate: Depending on the nature of the artwork, delivery times depend on courier schedules: 2-4 weeks.
All artwork sales from exhibitions will be available to collect/dispatch after the end date of that exhibition and once full payment is received. We will have everything ready within 1-2 days after exhibition close.
If you have purchased a gallery print:
Purchased Unframed: If the print is in stock – Express Aust. Post next day in tube.
Purchased Unframed: Print not in stock – 2-3 week delay in dispatch while we order, and have the print signed by the artist (sometimes requiring interstate postage and return for artist signature)
Purchased Framed: If the Framed Print is in stock, you may collect from the gallery the same day, or have the art courier booked (for interstate deliveries)
Purchased Framed: If the print is not framed, framing takes 2-3 weeks to complete, prior to dispatch.
Delivery and Shipping options
Within Adelaide, we can deliver and if needed, collect. We have a van, but if this is not big enough, there are local couriers that we trust.
For interstate deliveries we use art couriers, Australia Post or courier services depending on size and value of the individual job.
INTERNATIONAL: We can organise delivery via Australia Post. Large works will be rolled in a tube, and small works will be boxed up. If it is an item framed with glass, the glass will be replaced with plexiglass prior to travel.
Delivery and shipping costs
We will calculate your delivery individually for each order.
These are the estimates for our most popular shipping destinations:
Adelaide metropolitan delivery: $50 delivery or collect in store
Outer Adelaide/country SA: $80-$250
Australia Interstate: Small artworks (under 105cm) $80, Large from $280 – $400
All Australia and NZ: Anything rolled in a tube: $50
Jewellery in Australia: $15 for express post
International: Small artwork (under 105cm) or rolled in a tube: $80
International: Large artworks will be quoted individually.
We are happy to assist in the installation of your artwork if you are living in Adelaide. Our installer is experienced, professional and friendly. We offer installation in Adelaide, South Australia on any items framed or purchased through the gallery.
All artworks are insured by the gallery for transport from our premises and while on display. Please contact us if you have any further questions regarding insurance.
Refunds and Returns
We are unable to offer refunds. However, we offer an exchange within 7 days of delivery for all framed original artworks and prints, provided the goods are returned to us (at the customers expense) in their original condition. You may exchange for another item, or we can provide a credit note.
Unfortunately, we do not accept returns or exchanges for unframed works on paper including gallery prints.

We offer a 3 month traditional Lay-by in store, so speak to us directly if you would prefer this option.
Alternatively, we are more than happy to hold a painting for up to 7 days without a deposit.
We offer Art Images Gallery gift vouchers – which can be purchased using all of our accepted payment methods. If you want to get your friend, relative, or colleague an artwork but find it hard to choose, our gift vouchers are the perfect option.
All vouchers are non redeemable for cash and are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase.
I have artwork to sell, can you help me?
We are a gallery that sources artwork direct from artists, not from dealers or private collectors.
We hold works on consignment, and rarely buy anything directly.
We recommend auction houses such as Elders Fine Art or Theodore Bruce.
If it is a painting you have previously purchased from us, we are happy for you to send us an email with the details and we will assist if we can.
Artist approaching the gallery guidlines
While we are happy to accept submissions from artists, please keep in mind we do receive a great many each week.
Also, this is a curated space that has a specific aesthetic, and will not be suited to all styles of art.

- 10 high quality photographs of your work (these do not need to be large files, just professional looking representations of your work)
- List of artwork details – title medium, size, retail price
- Your artist CV including education, exhibitions, awards etc.

We are not accredited to give a valuation of any artwork.
That being said, if it is an artwork purchased through our gallery we can give you an informal estimate of current value.
