BOTANICAL SPOONS
These works are inspired by my daily bushwalks across Peramangk country – where I live and practice.
Flora – twigs, leaves and seedpods are emphasised, drawing
attention to their intricate shapes, textures and diversity.
Banksia, melaleuca, gum nuts, prickly tea tree to name a few.
Specimens carefully selected, encapsulated in brass or sterling silver, inviting to touch, feel and explore.
Utilitarian objects providing a reminder of the significance, fragility and preciousness of our ecosystem and landscape.
