Native Twig Spoons
These works are inspired by my daily bushwalks across Peramangk country – where I live and practice.
Native flora – twigs, leaves and seedpods are emphasised, drawing attention to their intricate shapes, textures and diversity.
Banksia, melaleuca, gum nuts, prickly tea tree.
Specimens carefully selected, encapsulated in brass, inviting to touch, feel and explore.
Utilitarian objects providing a reminder of the significance, fragility and preciousness of our ecosystem and landscape.
