Yellow Bush

The Yellow Bush is an Australian alpine plant that grows in the harsh environment at the summit of kunanyi/Mt Wellington in Tasmania. The sharp needle-like leaves glow yellow against the blue sky a bright statement across the landscape. In the summer, it bears small white flowers. It isn’t a well-known or highly prized plant, but for me its such an important element in how I see the summit landscape and I wanted to honour that with this linocut.
