Notes from the artist: Studio with Unfinished Seascape
The Seascape is of Green Bay Port Elliot, but not the paintings in this exhibition. I began this canvas 2 years ago while doing an earlier version of Green Bay. I just liked the look of it in the studio. The picture was completed this year, the studio rearranged from original drawings and studies. It has a carefully planned curved space, slightly wide-angled, using all those vertical and horizontal lines. Worked directly from subject, like many such pictures.
