The Art of Simplicity – Exhibition by Holly Eva at Art Images Gallery

Now Showing | Contemporary Art Exhibition | Adelaide, South Australia

Art Images Gallery is proud to present The Art of Simplicity, a captivating solo exhibition by Australian contemporary artist Holly Eva, now on view at our gallery in Adelaide, South Australia. This exhibition features Eva’s signature minimalist still life paintings—an intuitive exploration of calm, colour, and the quiet beauty of the everyday.

Discover the Beauty in the Everyday

Holly Eva is known for her emotionally resonant, contemporary still life and abstract works. Based in her Bulli, NSW studio, she paints with a deeply intuitive process, allowing each piece to evolve organically. Her inspiration comes from simple, everyday objects—particularly vintage and handmade pottery—reimagined through form, colour, and composition.

“My art celebrates the beauty of the everyday, honouring the mundane.” — Holly Eva

In The Art of Simplicity, humble objects—cups, bowls, vessels—are elevated into meditative, luminous compositions. Eva’s refined use of negative space and colour creates a sense of calm and quiet resilience, while her expressive brushwork brings an undercurrent of vibrancy to each piece.

Minimalism with Depth and Soul

This exhibition includes a mix of still life and abstract figurative work. The still life's reflect Eva’s love of composition, colour harmony, and simplicity. Her figurative pieces—often featuring strong female faces—speak to themes of transformation, identity, and inner strength.

Each work is guided by feeling rather than formula, resulting in paintings that are emotionally open, spontaneous, and deeply personal.
