However, conservation framing comes in different levels, and the right approach depends on the specific needs of your piece. The causes of artwork deterioration can vary, and while not all factors can be controlled, steps can be taken to minimize damage. Long-term exposure to light and harmful UV rays can be significantly reduced by using premium glazing options like TruVu and Museum Glass. TruVu glass blocks up to 70% of UV light, while Museum Glass offers even greater protection, blocking 90% of UV rays. Both options also substantially reduce glare and reflection compared to standard glass, enhancing the visual clarity of your piece.
If your artwork has been damaged, we can refer you to a specialist in conservation and restoration for proper treatment before we proceed with re-framing. This ensures your artwork is preserved and protected for future generations.

We work on a turnaround of two weeks from receiving the item/s to be framed. If the job is completed sooner, you will be contacted. If there are any delays on completing you order, you will be contacted.
We do our best to cater for rush jobs fer special events or artist's deadlines where possible.

All framing is custom made to order and quotes can be given before any job. We endeavor to price the framing competitively but our focus is on quality materials and production. We can usually quote on site in the gallery if you bring in the item/s to be framed.
If you require a quote over the phone or by email we are happy to do so.
We need to know the following details for an accurate quote: Material: drawing on paper, painting on canvas, photograph, bark painting etc.
Size: Framed size if you are having something re-framed, or artwork/image dimensions.
The look you want: Double mat, single mat, float mounted, stretched, box framed etc.

Yes, we offer a custom framing service and will frame any item including photos, memorabilia, original artworks, prints.

We can sometimes repair frames with minimal damage, but do not offer any frame restoration or art restoration.

Yes, we can replace any broken glass with new picture framing glass, acrylic or conservation glass. We cut everything to custom fit.

Tru Vu is specialty picture framing glass which reduces reflection and eliminates 70% of damaging ultra violet light.

No, while we do not pre-make any frames to sell, we try to accommodate all budgets and timeframes.

Yes, we frequently frame objects and memorabilia such as sports guernseys, medals, sculptural 3D items, woven artworks, shells and other found objects.
While we are experienced framers, some fragile or antique fabrics or textiles require the expertise of services outside our business. For these types of items we consult with Artlab.

We cannot print here at the gallery, but can discuss the best options and recommend the appropriate printers for your needs, as there are a number of good options nearby.

Yes! We have a van, but if this is not big enough, there are local couriers that we trust.
For interstate deliveries we use art couriers, Australia Post or courier services depending on size and value of the individual job.

Yes! Our installer is experienced, professional and friendly.
We offer installation on any items framed or purchased through the gallery.
