This exhibition presents a new series of paintings inspired by the artist’s residency in Victoria’s Alpine National Park. Drawing on time spent among snow gums in the stillness of winter, the works reflect a quiet, immersive connection to an unfamiliar alpine landscape shaped by solitude and reflection.
Focusing on the resilience and vulnerability of these distinctive trees, the artist uses layered oil paint and textured surfaces to evoke the shifting, fragile nature of this environment.
