Nikki Dowdell 2026

9 October - 8 November 2026

Opening Night Friday 9 October 6-8pm

Art Images Gallery is delighted to present a selection of glazed ceramic vessels by South Australian artist Nikki Dowdell.

Nikki Dowdell’s love of clay began in her final year of high school and has developed into a distinctive ceramic practice spanning porcelain and stoneware. Her wheel-thrown vessels combine sculptural form with an expressive approach to colour and glaze, drawing inspiration from the natural world and our enduring connection to it.

Central to Nikki’s practice is an ongoing fascination with glaze chemistry and the unpredictability of the firing process. Through continual experimentation, she embraces unexpected results and subtle variations, producing pieces that are both richly individual and inherently unique.
