The themes of her art practice are influenced by the imagery and patterns found in natural forms, viewed through both the naked eye and an electron microscope. This becomes the stimulus to explore design, movement, concept and colour, creating stunning artworks that interpret the natural world.
“I have been inspired by nature all my life and as a result of studying and painting I became aware of patterning of nature. Mandlbrot mathematical sequences of micro to macro, Fibonacci sequence and golden mean equations have inspired me with great enthusiasm to look down microscopes, research old and new textbooks to view electron microscopic images.
“Patterns of patterns – symbolic and universal forms such as spheres, arrows, cycles and centres are patterns that connect us to both the metaphysical and the natural world.”
