Lise Temple's latest body of work brings together expressive landscapes and interiors that balance observation with abstraction. Inspired by everyday surroundings, her paintings reduce familiar places to bold planes of colour, rich impasto and gestural marks, where space is continually reshaped through the physical act of painting. Rather than describing a scene, these works evoke the atmosphere, rhythm and energy of lived experience.

Working intuitively with a palette knife and richly layered oil paint, Temple celebrates the materiality of her medium. Vibrant and tactile, her paintings invite viewers to linger in compositions where landscape and domestic space become vehicles for colour, movement and memory.
