Using realistic and abstract interpretations of the world around her, she employs deeply symbolic, metaphorical processes found within diverse acts of making to explore her experience of life.
For over 20 years she has exhibited publicly in community and commercial spaces and has work held in private collections across Australia and Europe. Her work has been selected for numerous prize finalist exhibitions including The Heysen Prize for Landscape, The Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize and The Tatiara Art Prize.
She has also written for Artist Profile, Arts Hub, and most recently she was invited to present new work for Neoterica, a group exhibition showcasing mid-career South Australian artists curated by Ray Harris alongside The Adelaide Festival. Her practice has been supported by a Guildhouse Catapult Mentorship with esteemed international artist William Mackinnon.
Eleanor is the Head of Painting at Adelaide College of the Arts, TAFE SA and an Adjunct Lecturer at Flinders University.
