'Fallen' depicts a figure in a tightly folded position, their arms crossed protectively over their knees and head bent forward in a gesture of defeat or surrender. The finely detailed etching of the figure, with its careful shading and texture, evokes a sense of emotional exhaustion, as though the subject has retreated inward to shield themselves from the world.

Behind the figure, a burst of golden light spills from the edges, offering a stark contrast to the muted monochrome of the body. This luminous gold element, seemingly radiating from behind the figure, suggests that even in moments of collapse or vulnerability, there is an underlying strength or potential for renewal. The tension between the figure's posture and the brilliance of the gold invites a reflection on the cycles of falling and rising, of struggle and resilience.

'Fallen' captures a powerful moment of emotional surrender, while also suggesting that from such moments, light and growth can emerge. The interplay between darkness and light in the piece reinforces the idea that vulnerability and strength are deeply intertwined, offering a visual metaphor for the human experience.

Framing

This artwork is sold framed in a solid black frame with a black mount. All artworks are framed on site using conservation quality materials.

Regular picture framing glass is standard selection for all local orders in Adelaide, and "art acrylic" (Perspex) is used for some interstate orders to avoid potential glass breakage. We also offer higher grades of glass quality to help with reflection reduction and UV protection. Please contact us directly if you require this option or have any questions.

Prints are also available to purchase unframed and rolled in a tube.

International orders must be sent unframed.

This artwork is in our Norwood Gallery and is ready to package for delivery.

We take great care in packaging and will send it with a trusted courier within 3 days of your purchase / completion of any framing.

For orders within Australia, once the package has left the gallery, please allow 2-6 days for the artwork to arrive at your door and be sure there is somebody there to receive it.

For international orders please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery.
