A garden is suggested rather than fully described here. The Magpie gives the painting something recognisable to hold onto, while the plants remain loose and uncertain. I liked the idea of the garden being only partly formed, as though it is appearing and disappearing at the same time.

Framing

This artwork is currently framed with an off-white mat, in an natural oak frame.
