With an education and career background in science (Microbiology & Virology) my pieces often incorporate the natural world. From mosaics to linocut prints, I've dabbled in various mediums over the years eventually focusing on ceramic sculpture. Essentially self-taught with occasional guidance from trained ceramicists my pieces are sculpted individually and hand-painted using coloured underglazes. This means I can combine my two passions of sculpting and painting into the one object. Nature, history and mythology are among my many interests and I try to incorporate these themes into my work. Various traditional art encountered while traveling also has a big influence on my creations. Pieces can be found in galleries around Adelaide as well as online and the odd coffee shop .
