This was sketched in from a clifftop near Swan Reach at twilight in late summer at around 8.00 pm. recording the lush mauves, pinks, and deep warm colours of last light over the vast expanse of river and plain. Two houseboats are moored and provide scale.
The picture was conceived as a study for a larger nocturnal suite of canvases.

This artwork is currently framed in a floating oak tray frame.
