Mark Warren was born in Nelson, Lancashire, England in 1965. He moved to Zambia in the early 1970s before arriving in Australia in 1980, where he went on to study at the North Adelaide School of Art from 1992-95.
Mark's paintings are full of colour, life and humour. His inspiration comes from many sources including history, music, landscapes and urban/ suburbia.
Over the last 30 years or so, Mark has experimented with styles and genres. His early works being Abstract Expressionism morphing into primitivism and figuration. His latest works move into Folk Expressionism, depicting everyday scenes of his immediate surroundings.
