Louise Vadasz (1961) was born in McLaren Vale on South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula and grew up in the costal wine region. Upon finishing school she obtained an Advanced Art and Craft Certificate in printmaking at the North Adelaide School of Art. Louise then completed a Bachelor of Fine Art from the South Australian School of Art (now Adelaide University).

Louise’s work has been selected for the Doug Moran Portrait Prize (2013), Finalist in the Royal Society Portrait Prize (2015), The Other Art Fair Sydney (2015), Finalist in the Fleurieu Food and Wine Art Prize (2016), Finalist in the Adelaide Parkland Art Prize (2018), and a Finalist in the 4th Royal Society of Arts Portrait Prize (2019).
Louise has participated in numerous SALA exhibitions and her work is hung in many private collections.
Louise has recently enjoyed painting Still Life. Her style is heavy impasto with oil painted on transparent linen.
