This is a view framed by a cops of mallee trees off Glass Gorge Road, looking over Oratunga Station, to Mt Patawarta, a mountain that often featured in Hans Heysens work, including one called The land of the Oratunga in AGSA. The artist has spent 10 years working at Oratunga Station in a group of other artists, painting en plein air and absorbing the landscape to sustain studio work back in Adelaide.
