Painted from reference photos taken towards the end of the day whilst camping at Deep Creek where lavender tones were beginning to settle onto landscape. I wanted to investigate the mystery and darkness of these environments. We have created safety and control over much of our natural environments but when we step into these wild spaces we are at the mercy of the elements.
