Suzie Lockery completed a Bachelor of Visual Art and Design (majoring in Printmaking) from the Adelaide College of the Arts in 2013 and was subsequently selected for the Helpmann Academy Graduate Exhibition.
Suzie has participated in multiple group and solo exhibitions since 2010, and was a finalist in the Rick Amor Print Prize in 2015. She has been the recipient of grants from the Helpmann Academy and Arts SA and has presented various printmaking workshops throughout Adelaide, including ‘Makers at the Museum’ at the South Australian Museum in 2016. Suzie was represented by West Gallery Thebarton at Paper Contemporary: Sydney Contemporary Art Fair in 2018 and 2019.
As a multidisciplinary artist working across the fields of drawing, painting, printmaking and installation, Suzie says “I consider my art practice to be a meditative process that provides a site for personal cogitation and reconnection, especially amid our hyperconnected existence”.
Suzie has also been a member of Central Studios since October 2018.
