Bruce Earles

In 2000 Bruce Earles was awarded a Pollock Krasner Award, from the Pollock Krasner Foundation, New York.  The following year he became a Doctor of Creative Art, University of Western Sydney.  Earles’ academic qualifications and artistic achievements have been considerable since his days at Roar Studios between 1983 and 1986.

The source of his current work is soundly based with aesthetic appeal and relevant sociological themes; man’s interaction with the environment whether by leisure or industry.  Huge man-made city structures and the power of the ocean dominate the landscapes.  Rugged coastlines are painted with an organic palette and urban developments incorporate brilliant colour combinations and gritty textures.
