Pete Groves

Creating an atmosphere, a world, where harmony exists between nature and the man-made, a stark contrast exists between the peacefulness and serenity of his paintings and the anxiety of the modern world. Nature and the man-made intersect often, in varying degrees. On initial analysis some elements may seem implausible, but somehow realism exists within fantasy. His idiosyncratic, contemplative figures and animal life blend magically with their surrounds.

Through our observations and interactions, nature's peacefulness and abundance is enriching. The natural countryside is inspiring - whether it's driving through rolling landscapes, watching a garden bed go to seed or sitting quietly in the shade of a tree, life and work are brought back to a state of fullness.
