Megan O'Hara

Megan is a well-known exhibiting Adelaide artist who resides on an organic farm on the Fleurieu Peninsula South Australia. Her artworks have been collected both nationally and internationally. Since graduating from the Adelaide Centre of Arts as the Inaugural Recipient of the Minter Ellison Emerging Artist Award in 2003, she has had a number of well-received solo exhibitions and commissions. Megan was winner of the prestigious Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize in painting in 2004.

The themes in her art practice are influenced by imagery and patterns primarily found in natural forms - sighted by the human eye to images of anatomy viewed with an electron microscope. This becomes the stimulus to explore design, movement, concept and colour creating stunning artworks interpreting the natural world.
