Leo Greenfield

Leo Greenfield is an artist with a passion for drawing. His works concentrate on documenting the ever-changing space of street life and culture. On paper and online, Greenfield expresses the silhouette and patterns of contemporary dress, creating intimate portraits of people and places drawn from memory. Educated at the University of Adelaide and the Victorian College of Arts, Greenfield has since developed his art practice while living and exhibiting in Japan, France and the UK.

Greenfield’s drawing practice, which combines traditional techniques with contemporary social media has gained him invitations to International Fashion Weeks and seen his work published by Hardie Grant Books, Vogue, Harper’s BAZAAR and The Australian. Alongside his art studio work Greenfield has contributed a monthly column The Adelaide Review since 2016 where he celebrates the lives of everyday South Australians through illustrations and interviews in Drawn to the City.
