Harry Sherwin

Harry Sherwin works in watercolour, oils, mixed media and collage, generally in a painterly, realistic style. He combines ‘plein air’ painting with studio practice and his subjects include landscape, seascape, still life, interiors, the figure, portraiture and social themes.

After completing an Advanced Diploma of Teaching (Fine Art), Harry shared his passion for painting by educating others, and worked as an Art Master teacher, before retiring in order to concentrate on his own painting full time.

Harry moved to Watervale in the 1980s and has lived in the region ever since. He finds inspiration for his artworks in the rich source of colours from the four distinct seasons in the Clare Valley. Harry has showcased his works in many exhibitions around South Australia and has received numerous awards and achievements.
