We’ve recently received a stunning new shipment of sculptures by Brisbane artist Mela Cooke.
With a background in physiotherapy, Mela has long been fascinated by the intricacies of the human form. Now, as a sculptor, she channels that deep understanding into cast bronze works that beautifully capture the character and spirit of her family and friends, with warmth and a touch of playful charm.
Each piece begins in clay, allowing her immediate, hands-on control over form and expression. Once perfected, the clay sculptures are cast in bronze at a foundry, resulting in timeless works that celebrate both craftsmanship and humanity.
